Having carefully acclimatised to the 3,400 metres of altitude in the city of Cusco, I went out to explore the streets, with the San Pedro market district and its surroundings being of greatest interest. There, I photographed people who looked tired, just like me, and who, despite the sun, remained outside working or going about their day.
This collection of four photos aims to capture that weariness beneath the intense Peruvian sun, where the air and sounds feel different from anywhere I've been before.
